Alex Murphy (basketball)

Alex James Murphy is an American college basketball player who currently plays for the University of Florida. He had previously played for Duke University. Murphy was one of the toprated college basketball recruits in the class of 2011. He is the son of former National Basketball Association player Jay Murphy, and the brother of NBA forward Erik Murphy. His mother Pivi is from Finland and played for the Finnish national team between 1988 and 1994.
